HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE TARGETING THE RIGHT CUSTOMERS THROUGH YOUR PR?

1. Ask existing customers what publications they read and media they use and target accordingly.
2. When you get a good response from one publication, concentrate on getting into it again before spreading the net further.
3. Approach the advertising departments and ask for a media pack which should give you a run down of their readership and you can cross check that this is the same as your target market.
4. Look at where your competitors appear. Let them do the work for you!
5. Make regular research trips to newsagents, reference libraries and Internet sessions where you look for target media.

Very Best Wishes,

.....isn't it always the way that when you plan to go away and tidy up things before you go - you become much more in demand. I had planned tomorrow - my last working day before I head off to Venice for a week - to be spent sitting in a cafe with my team going over alst minute details of what work needed to be done, and tucking into pain au chocolate and coffee mochas. Now I've got a list of five potential clients, a new project for a long term client and a bag of euros to hunt down (I've looked everywhere!!). Still, I'm not complaining, it's a great problem to have and when I look back on those days of worrying because there just wasn't enough work coming in, they just seem so far away.
